Just a day ago Samsung announced its unpack date for the next Note-series phone –  the Galaxy Note 9, which set to showcased on August 9 in New York. There is still more than a month to go for its launch; however, a Russian veteran tech blogger – Eldar Murtazin claims to have experienced a pre-production device and has actually published the Galaxy Note 9 hands-on review on his blog.

According to Eldar Murtazin, the Galaxy Note 9 design won’t be much different from its predecessor. The only noticeable difference is on the rear panel where Samsung has moved the fingerprint sensor from the side of the rear module to under it. This will make it more accessible and also prevent the camera from fingerprint smudges.

In his Galaxy Note 9 hands-on review, the tech industry veteran claimed that the Note 9 will offer improvements sunlight legibility which suggests that Samsung could use a brighter than before Super AMOLED screen on the device. He claims that the Note 9 prototype also had an upgraded Always On Display functionality.

Based on his hands-on experience, the Russian claims that the Galaxy Note 9 (pre-production unit) manage to woo him with its exceptionally swift operations. He went on to say that it is one of snappiest devices that he has seen so far. In all probability, Samsung is using a new Exynos chipset along with a revamped version of its Experience UI which is said to offer improved animations.

Continuing with its two chipset version policy, the Note 9 is also likely to rock a Snapdragon 845 SoC in the US and South Korea variants while rest of the world get the Note 9 equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos chip.

As far as the optics go, the Note 9 cameras will be almost identical to Galaxy S9+, apart from the probable addition of the new ISOCELL technology and improved optical image stabilization (OIS).

The S-Pen which is one of an integral part of the Galaxy Note series also sees some improvements if reports are to be believed. As per the leak, the Note 9 S-Pen to feature Bluetooth which will enable a user to unlock the device remotely. The company could also introduce S-pen work profiles for business users.

As per Murtazin, Samsung is all set to offer a bumped up battery in the Galaxy Note 9. He claims that the device features a 4,000 mAh battery which could last two days on a single charge. He further adds that it could go up to 25 hours of video playback with highest settings.

The Galaxy Note 9 is likely to come in two versions. The base variant will include a 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and more a premium version will be offered with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Galaxy Note 9 hands-on leak comes from someone who has established credibility and is on the lines of various leaks and rumours that have been in the news. However, entire picture will only get clear when Samsung unveils it on August 9.
