Haier Appliances India has launched its new F9 Front Load Washing Machine series in India, adding an AI-centric upgrade to the company’s laundry lineup. Touted as the country’s first front-load washing machine with a color AI touch panel, the F9 series features one-tap controls and load-adaptive wash cycles. It’s equipped with what Haier calls “AI One Touch Technology,” designed to detect load size, fabric type, and dirt levels—then automatically adjust the wash accordingly. The machine also integrates with Haier’s Hai Smart app, allowing users to control wash cycles remotely.
Smart Features and Local Manufacturing
The Haier F9 series is powered by a Direct Motion Motor—an inverter-based motor directly connected to the drum for lower noise and higher efficiency. It also features a large 525 mm “pillow-shaped” drum that aims to clean bulky garments more gently. Haier claims the design improves both cleaning depth and fabric protection.
To address energy consumption and maintenance, the machine includes AI-DBS (Dynamic Balance System), which uses sensors to reduce vibration and optimize drum balance, especially at higher spin speeds. Other features include PuriStream for filtered water cleaning, a 1400 RPM spin cycle for faster drying, and anti-bacterial treatment (ABT) to reduce mold buildup in the drum.
The new washing machine is part of Haier’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and reflects the company’s strategy of developing products tailored to local preferences—such as larger drum sizes for heavier Indian garments and hygiene-centric features for monsoon laundry challenges.

The 12 kg capacity model (HW120-DM14F9BKU1) is now available across major retail outlets and online platforms. It is priced at ₹59,990 and comes with a 5-year comprehensive warranty and a 20-year warranty on the motor.
