GTA fans rejoice as Rockstar Games dropped the first trailer of the most awaited video game of all time – GTA VI. It is full of nostalgia, action, cutting-edge graphics, and, most importantly, the adrenaline rush players feel when they’re in the game. Yes, someone leaked the trailer a day before its official launch, and the studio had to prepone the drop, but everything has been fine since then.
GTA VI Official Trailer Gets 47 Million Views In Less Than Eight Hours
The video “Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1” has garnered over 51 million views in the last nine hours, a testament to its popularity. The sequel to the world’s second-best video game after Minecraft, GTA VI, will take place in Vice City, where the original open-world game from the studio was set. Of course, it would be a modern-day rendition of the location. Rockstar Games seems to have reimagined popular spots in the original game from 2002, like the Starfish Island.
Meet GTA VI’s New Protagonist, Lucia
Another important takeaway from the trailer appears to be the lead protagonist, Lucia, the first female main for a GTA game ever. We see her in a prison jumpsuit at the beginning of the trailer (or in the attached screenshot). The song used in the trailer, Long Is a Long Road, is by Tom Petty. Like every other GTA game, Rockstar is counting on the action-adventure genre where players can drive fast cards, indulge in reckless gun fights, and explore the detailed open world (in one of the biggest maps).
GTA VI Expected Cost
According to several reports, the cost of developing GTA VI lies between $1 and $2 billion, which is a massive amount for any studio. However, Rockstar Games is betting on the upcoming title and expects to earn big profits too. The development cost is another reason interested players should expect the game to cost around $150 to $200 per copy. Further, Rockstar Games is also going to be stringent about piracy.
GTA Vi Expected Release Date
In a press release, Rockstar Games mentions selling over 190 million game copies. Further, the studios also announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will make its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. However, there’s no word on the Windows release of the video game yet. Fans and players are excited about the trailer and eagerly waiting for the game to drop.
