Google is hosting a ‘Made by Google’ event on October 6 wherein the brand will launch several new products that it teased during the I/O of 2022. The biggest news that’s coming in is that the Google Pixel 7 Series is coming to India as well. Yes, you heard it right, Google has confirmed that it is bringing the Pixel 7 Series to India.

Google Pixel 7 Series India Launch

A Flipkart teaser and a tweet by Google have confirmed it and the news is big as it will be 4 years since Google launched any of its flagship smartphones in India (the last being Pixel 3 and 3XL).

The Google Pixel 7 Series will consist of 2 models- Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro and the smartphones will go up for pre-order on the same day as they are launched, that is the 6th of October. When Pixel 7 Series launches in India, it will directly compete with iPhone 14 models and Samsung Galaxy S22 Series.

Google posted an ad on the official ‘Made by Google’ YouTube channel that gives an exclusive look at the Pixel 7 Pro and confirms that the pre-orders are beginning on October 6th. Since Pixel 7 Pro is mentioned, it is likely that the vanilla Pixel 7 will also go up for pre-order at the same time. The smartphones are expected to hit the markets in 2 weeks, that is 18th of October.

Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro: Expected Specs

The Pixel 7 Series has already been confirmed to be powered by the Tensor G2 processors. Recently, a Geekbench listing revealed that the Pixel 7 Pro will have 12GB RAM and a Cheetah Motherboard. Smartphones have made an appearance various times and they showed the rear of the Pixel 7 having 2 cameras while the Pixel 7 pro has triple cameras.

The front of the Pixel 7 will have a 90Hz AMOLED panel whereas the Pixel 7 Pro will sport a 120Hz LTPO panel. The Google Pixel 7 will come in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colors whereas the Google Pixel 7 pro will come in Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel colorways.

Google Event: What else to expect?

The ‘Made by Google’ Event will not only witness the launch of the Pixel 7 Series but also Pixel Watch. Google claims that the Pixel Watch is the first smartwatch designed and built by it. It will be compatible with Pixel as well as Android phones. The teasers shown reveal a minimal design with a circular dial and basic bezels around the display. It will be powered by the Google Wear OS and be compatible with the Find my Device App.

The smartwatch is expected to have a stainless steel build and curved glass protection. It will come with features like Google Wallet, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. Health features will include heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking. The color choices available with the WiFi/Bluetooth model would be a black body with an Obsidian band, a silver body with a chalk band, and a gold body with a hazel band. The cellular variant will come with a similar Black body with an Obsidian band. The Silver case with the charcoal band and gold case with a hazel band would be exclusive to the LTE model.

9to5Google claims that the starting price of the Bluetooth/WiFi model will be around Rs. 28,000 whereas the cellular variant will cost around Rs. 31,900 when the watch comes to India.
