The Chinese smartphone brand, Gionee has been spotted pretty frequently in the headline for last couple of months. One of the reasons for such popularity were its most recent smartphone launches like Gionee Elife S7. And other was the rumors of a smartphone which would boast a battery as huge as 6000 mAh. So this has just become a reality when Gionee announced the new smartphone Gionee M5 with a battery containing a power amount of 6020 mAh. The smartphone has been officially launched in China. Earlier the device had been spotted on TENAA website for getting certified.
Gionee M5 features a 1.3 GHz quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage capacity which can further be expanded by a microSD card of up to 128 GB. The smartphone sports a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Apart from this, the smartphone flaunts an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. A 5 MP front facing fixed focus camera is located on the front panel of the smartphone for capturing excellent selfies. The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 based latest Amigo UI, crafted by Gionee.

Gionee M5 price details have not been revealed yet. The battery of the smartphone is claimed to be so powerful that just 5 % of charge can last up to 62 hours in stand by mode.
