Gionee Launched Selfie Centric Smartphone S6s With MediaTek 6753 SoC In India

Gionee S6s is the latest smartphone the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has to offer in India. The striking feature of this new selfie-centric smartphone is its front facing flash. Gionee has priced this 4G LTE enabled smartphone at Rs. 17,999. It comes in two colors – Latte Gold and Mocha Gold – and will be available on Amazon and other brick and mortar stores too.

Gionee S6s Features

It is the new variant Gionee S6, that hit the retail shelves in the first half of the year carrying a seemingly exorbitant price tag of Rs. 19,999.  The newly launched smartphone is Gionee’s first to flaunt a front facing camera flash. Like its predecessor, it too features metal-clad design. Gionee designers have added a 2.5D glass on top of the display. Other important features, it includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a hybrid SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS support.

Talking about hardware specification, the Gionee S6s features a 5.5-inch IPS In-Cell display with full HD resolution. Under the hood, a familiar MediaTek 6753 chipset with 8 Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.3GHz. To handle gaming and multitasking needs, it comes with Mali – T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. It has 32GB of internal storage which can be further enhanced using a microSD card.

There is a 13-megapixel camera mounted on the rear end of the phone accompanied by a f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX 258 sensor, LED flash and autofocus. It supports Panorama, HDR, Professional, Magic Focus, and Face Beauty modes. There is an Ultra Pixel option, which delivers a 120-megapixel resolution image by stitching multiple images together.

On the other hand, it bears an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and 5P Lens. to facilitate decent selfies in low light conditions, it is equipped with a LED flash and also a screen flash.

It is backed by a 3,150mAh battery and runs on Amigo 3.0 OS which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
