After the grand launch of dual camera smartphone P9 in India, Huawei has silently introduced a new mid-range smartphone named G9 Plus in China. The newly launched smartphone is a successor of Huawei G9 Lite which was launched in China in May. Its starting price in China will be RMB 2,399, which in terms of Indian currency roughly translate to Rs. 24,200. Details related to availability outside China haven’t been made public as of now.

Huawei G9 Plus Features
The Huawei G9 Plus packs a capable hardware with all-metal unibody exterior. It weighs 160grams and has a 7.3mm thick waist line. The rear side of the phone is studded with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, a camera and LED flash. For navigation, there are on-screen buttons housed on the 5.5-inch display. Physical buttons include volume rocker and power button which are located on the right edge. On the left, there is an ejectable SIM card tray which can hold up to 2 SIM cards. On the top, one can find lone 3.5mm audio jack while bottom is equipped with USB type C port for charging and data transfer purpose.
In terms of specification, it boasts a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution and 2.5D curved glass. At the heart of it, is present the current generation Qualcomm mid-range chipset- Snapdragon 625 – tickking at 2GHz. The chipset is supported by 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. There is 32GB of onboard storage present on the phone which can be bumped up to 128GB via microSD card.
Huawei has trusted a 16-megapixel sensor for primary camera and equipped it with LED flash, PDAF, optical image stabilization (OIS) for better photography. It can also shoot 4K videos. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a 3,340mAh battery and runs on Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1 which is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0. For connectivity, it includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11ac options.
