TL; DR
  • Galaxy S25 Edge confirmed to be ultra-slim at 5.84mm thick, 162g weight, with a 6.65-inch display and slim bezels like S25 Ultra.
  • Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, it features a 200MP + 12MP dual rear camera, but drops the telephoto lens and has a smaller 3,900 mAh battery with 25W charging.
  • Expected to launch April/May 2025, priced near $999, with limited initial stock of 40,000 units.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is already making waves, with its full unveiling expected next month. Teased earlier this year alongside the Galaxy S25 series and spotlighted again at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, this slim flagship has been the subject of growing anticipation—and a steady drip of leaks.

While Samsung remains tight-lipped about the finer details, credible sources are stepping in to paint a clearer picture of what’s to come. Earlier, we, in collaboration with OnLeaks, revealed to you the dimensions and the purported specs of the Galaxy S25 Edge, and now we have Ice Universe confirming the same.

A Razor-Thin 5.84mm Profile

The standout feature of the Galaxy S25 Edge is its slimness. Like we revealed earlier, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be just 5.84mm thick, and this has also been confirmed by credible tipster Ice Universe. This undercuts the standard Galaxy S25’s 7.2mm frame by a significant margin, positioning it as one of Samsung’s thinnest premium devices in recent memory.

Weighing in at 162 grams, it matches the standard S25’s heft despite its leaner build. This suggests Samsung has made some clever engineering choices (cough… smaller battery… cough) to shave down the profile. For context, the Galaxy S25 Plus, a sibling in the lineup, clocks in at 7.7mm thick and 195 grams.

Pricing in the Premium Lane

Ice Universe also hints that the S25 Edge will carry a price tag “similar” to the Galaxy S25 Plus (review), which launched at $999. While that doesn’t pin down an exact figure, it places the Edge firmly in the upper tier of Samsung’s offerings, likely slotting between the standard S25 ($799) and the top-shelf Galaxy S25 Ultra (review) ($1,299).

Design and Display: Slim Bezels, Big Screen

A front render shared by the same tipster reveals another key detail: the S25 Edge sports ultra-slim bezels, matching those of the S25 Ultra. This design choice frames a 6.65-inch display—slightly smaller than the S25 Plus’s 6.7 inches.

Expect a Dynamic AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Rumored color options include Light Blue, Black, and Silver. Internally, the S25 Edge is expected to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same silicon powering the rest of the S25 family.

However, the camera setup tells a different story. There’s a dual-sensor arrangement on the back—a 200MP primary lens paired with a 12MP ultra-wide—ditching the telephoto lens found on the rest of the S25 family.

Powering this package is a 3,900 mAh battery with 25W wired charging support. That’s a step down from the S25 Plus’s 4,900 mAh cell and even the standard S25’s 4,000 mAh.

A smaller battery in a thinner body isn’t unexpected, but Samsung could’ve used silicon-carbon technology to pack a larger battery in the same form factor, like the Tecno Spark Slim, which packs a 5,200 mAh battery in a 5.75mm profile.

  • 6.7-inch 120 Hz display
  • 5.84 mm thick
  • Snapdragon 8 Elite with Adreno 830
  • 12 GB RAM
  • 200 MP main + 10/12 MP ultra-wide rear
  • 12 MP front
  • 4,000 mAh battery
  • 25W charging

Launch Timeline: April or May?

Samsung has pegged April 2025 as the likely unveiling window for the S25 Edge, though some reports suggest availability might slip into May. Adding intrigue, an earlier leak hinted at an initial production run of just 40,000 units—a cautious rollout that could signal a test of market demand.
