TL; DR

  • The Samsung Galaxy S25 is rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset instead of the Exynos 2500.
  • Same camera setup as the S24 (50 MP main, 10 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultra-wide), with thinner bezels and a compact 6.2” body.

According to a source on Twitter (now X), Jukanlosreve, the Galaxy S25 allegedly could ditch the Exynos 2500 for the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. While Jukanlosreve is generally accurate, this information is still unconfirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Apparently, Samsung was testing the Exynos 2500 with the S25, but integration issues arose due to unmet yield expectations. Instead, the Exynos 2500 is now rumored to be used in the S25 FE, expected to release in April next year.

The Galaxy S25 will reportedly feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a change from previous models, which used different chipsets depending on the region. This year, the S24 has the Exynos in India and Europe, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powers the North American models.

The Dimensity 9400 chipset will officially launch on October 9, but it has already been seen in benchmarks, like in the Oppo Find X8 Pro and the vivo X100 Pro with a score of around 3 million on AnTuTu.

The Galaxy S25 is rumored to come with a 6.2-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display, the Dimensity 9400, 7 years of OS updates, and the same camera setup as the S24: 50 MP main sensor, 10 MP telephoto, and 12 MP ultra-wide. Expect even thinner bezels than the Galaxy S24.

Like I said, this leak is unconfirmed and not backed up by strong sources, so take it with a pinch of salt.
