Google launched the Pixel 8 Series last week and along with Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2, the brand has also announced a new AI-powered Assistant with Bard too to make life even more convenient. While it was pretty obvious that all the Pixel smartphones will obviously get this new Bard Assistant, now we have details about which other devices will be the first ones to receive this new update.

Galaxy S24 Series & Pixel 8 Series to get Bard Assistant

A report by 9to5Google claims that the Pixel 8 Series and Samsung Galaxy S24 Series will be the first ones to get this new assistant. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Series is expected to arrive in January 2024 and is expected to be the first series after the Pixel 8 series to get this new bard assistant.

However, users of the Pixel 8 Series which is going on sale from October 14, will get a chance to try the Assistant with Bard before anyone else. Google also announced the same during its ‘Made By Google’ event. For now, the assistant will be available to select testers only and other users will get it over the next few months. This means even though you have pre-booked your Pixel 8 series smartphone, it might be a few weeks or months until you get to try the new assistant.

The evidence to substantiate this claim was found in version 14.41 of the Google app beta. It clearly indicates that Google is targeting the Galaxy S24 Series along with the Pixel 8 series. Last Wednesday during the event, Google said, “rolling out assistant with Bard to select testers shortly.” The next phase will be an opt-in experience and a part of the Google Labs.

In its blog post, Google has confirmed that Assistant with Bard will be available on Android and iOS mobile devices in the coming months.

The lines will not be unknown to those who have played around with the generative AI in Google Bard. Just like ChatGPT, it can write essays, poetry, stories, reports, emails, and much more. Bard Assistant is an added feature to what currently Google Assistant has. This includes answering questions, controlling smart lights, finding out what the weather’s doing, and more. Google aims to make Bard Assistant one of its most powerful tools ever.

Next devices to get Bard Assistant

After the Pixel 8 and Galaxy S24 Series, the next ones to receive the update will be the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Galaxy S23 Series smartphones.
