TL; DR
  • Dell launches Pro Essential 14 and 15 in India from ₹85,500.
  • They are 11% thinner and up to 16% lighter than before.
  • Intel Core Series 3 or Ryzen 200 chips, up to 64GB RAM.

I’ve fumbled for the mute button mid-call a lot, so I get why Dell gave its new Pro Essential 14 and 15 a physical mic key. Both the laptops are now on sale in India. They’re aimed at small businesses that want a sturdy build that lasts for years, rather than a consumer machine without paying for a workstation.

How Much Do The Dell Pro Essential Laptops Cost?

You can buy them now through dellstore.com. The 14-inch starts at ₹85,500 and the 15-inch at ₹86,200, which is a mere ₹700 gap. While it’s not stated explicitly, I’m assuming these prices are for the baseline configuration.

What Do Small Businesses Actually Get?

Both models come in Celestial Blue or Platinum Silver, and Dell says they’re 11% thinner and 9% to 16% lighter than the last generation, making them easier to carry around, especially for roles that require an official machine on different floors or set up at all times. The keyboard picks up shortcut keys for dictation and screen captures. The touchpad grows by 6%.

You can choose Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series chips, both entry-level chips designed to handle business workloads with ease. They’re also designed for gaming and other graphics-heavy workloads. Security covers a TPM chip, fingerprint or FHD IR login, a mechanical camera shutter and a lock slot.

I like that Dell designed around how teams really work now: video calls, voice notes, quick screenshots, and remote work. My only hesitation is the “Essential” badge next to an ₹85,500 sticker. Until Dell spells out what that price includes, I’d call the value case unproven.
