A blender might not be a must-buy appliance for every kitchen. Still, if you’re someone who prepares protein shakes or dips regularly, a good blender can make life simpler. BlendJet has been one of the popular names that comes to my mind when I talk about portable blenders. The brand has made a name for itself globally with its personal blenders. Earlier this year, they entered India with their latest offering, Blendjet 2. So we ordered a Blendjet 2 with XL JAR (945 ML) and a sleeve from their official store. After using it for more than a month, we decided to share our thoughts with you in this Blendjet 2 review.

Blendjet 2 Review: Design and build

The BlendJet 2 portable blender is intended to be portable. The blender looks light but feels comparatively heavy. Having said that, you can easily carry it anywhere. We tried carrying it in our backpack without any trouble. BlendJet 2 measures 9 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, which fits easily into my car cup holder and side pocket of my backpack. If you are thinking of carrying it with an XL Jar, it won’t fit in the side pocket of my backpack.

The main jar can hold 473ml, which is equivalent to 2 cups. It has a see-through body with a screw-on lid and a built-in flap to ensure a firm grip.

The entire blender is plastic, including the jar and motor base. The blade assembly is attached to the base with a thin shaft and is slightly offset from the center, which the manufacturer says helps it blend better. The base sits on three rubber anti-slip pads and has a power button, a battery life indicator light, and a USB-C charging port.

The jar has a magnetic sensor that helps align it with the motor base, and it screws tightly into place. There are measuring marks on it, and the lid has a built-in carrying strap.

The jar and lid are made of plastic and aren’t dishwasher-safe. The jar has no bottom unless it’s on the motor base, so you have to keep it attached to drink from the jar.

In India, Blend Jet 2 is available in several solid colors and patterns. The color options are bright and fun, and there’s something for everyone. The color and pattern options available are black, lavender, display olaf, Pixar aliens, white, Disney Elsa, mint, red, Pixar Buzz Lightyear, Disney Tiana, Disney Arial, Silver metallic, Geode, Disney Moana, Disney Minnie Mouse, Disney Jasmine, and Disney Cinderella.

BlendJet 2 Review: Performance & Maintenance

The BlendJet 2 blender has a single button for easy operation. This button can power the blender on and off and select between the three available modes. Its predecessor had a single mode; however, BlendJet 2 has a pulse mode that can be used to chop ingredients. The lock mode is a safety feature that can be used to avoid accidental blending while your blender is packed in a bag or you are sipping from it.

The blending mode is much faster and more powerful than it used to be, as it now takes only 20-25 seconds to blend and turn off automatically. Blending frozen ingredients this summer proved to be very convenient. Ice cubes, mangoes, strawberries, and more blended within seconds; just keep in mind that put the liquid items first, followed by solid ones, to get a seamless blending experience.

BlendJet Packs for making smoothies are tasty and easy to make with this appliance. Even if you want to customize your smoothies, the blender will take seconds to give perfect results. While putting in smaller pieces to blend is always more convenient, if you are away from home this blender will blend even larger pieces easily. The only niggle will be the sound that won’t be overly loud but still disturbing in a quiet environment. Pulse mode gives good results when used for tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and more.

The blender is battery-operated and can be recharged via USB-C cable. A charging cable is bundled inside the box, but it is short in length, which might make charging problematic if the adapter is far away. A full charge takes about 60-90 minutes and is indicated by the light changing from purple to blue when 100% charged. One complete charge lasts for 15 or more blending cycles, which is decent compared to other blenders in the segment.

BlendJet 2 Review Verdict: Should you buy it?

BlendJet 2 is a next-generation portable appliance that can be used to blend not only at home or office but also on the go. It is battery-operated and serves as a personal blending system with various improvements over its predecessor. The blender has a 16-ounce capacity, is easy to use, and lasts long, with over 12 cycles on a single charge. It is easy to carry around, and maintenance doesn’t require much effort. A robust motor design, advanced modes, and water-resistant design make BlendJet 2 an ideal partner for those who need quick, minimal effort and tasty smoothies.
