The octa-core chip uses the same Kryo 360 cores as in Snapdragon 845 and is manufactured on a 10nm process. It also benefits from the DynamIQ architecture and a system cache (that was added in the Snapdragon 845 for the first time).

What’s special about Snapdragon 710 mobile platform?

The Octa-core chipset uses the same cores as in Snapdragon 845. But the configuration is 2+6 instead of 4+4. It is also formed on the same 10nm fabrication process as Snapdragon 845.

  • This is the first mid-range chip with Series 600 GPU (Adreno 616)
  • The Snapdragon 710 brings in a major improvement in gaming and power efficiency. In other words, battery consumption will be significantly lesser with intensive tasks like gaming.
  • It will also pass on up to 25 percent performance gain over Snapdragon 660 that it succeeds.
  • The chipset supports 4K HDR playback, and up to 800Mbps download speeds
  • It has the same X20 LTE Modem as Snapdragon 845.
