Lenovo Z2 Plus
The Z2 Plus (Review) is the cheapest smartphone in the market right now that features a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 chipset. The Qualcomm SoC is further assisted by an Adreno 530 GPU and 3GB or 4GB RAM depending on the variant you choose. The long lasting 3500mAh battery helps too.
If you don’t mind a compact smartphone, the Z2 Plus is a great option for under 15,000 INR.
LeEco Le Max 2
In the gaming context, the Le Max 2 (Review) offers pretty much the same features that come with the Z2 Plus (read Processor and GPU), but differs in some very detrimental features. The phone comes out in two variants offering 4GB and 6GB RAM respectively and to add to that, it comes replete with 5.7-inch qHD display with best-in-class resolution (1440x2560p), surely making it an option worth considering for.
Xiaomi Mi Max Prime
An upgraded version of the Chinese company’s Mi Max smartphone, the Mi Max Prime features an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset wherein its top four Cortex A72 processors clock in a frequency of 1.8GHz whereas the remaining function at 1.2 GHz frequency. The SoC is ably supported by an Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM, which are all encompassed in a 6.44-inch full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 4 on top. Add to that a 4,850 mAh battery and you get a handset well suited for long gaming sessions.
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual
A joint venture between Coolpad and LeEco and is reminiscent of the latter’s Le 2 as far the design is concerned. Coming to the specifications, the Cool 1 (Review) packs an octa-core (1.8GHz quad Cortex A-72+1.2GHz quad Cortex A-53) Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and comes in two RAM variants (3GB and 4GB).
It sports a 5.5-inch full HD display that we found to be sharp and vivid and has a smudge-resistant Oleophobic coating as well. Features like these and a powerful 4,000mAh battery with fast charging facility make it a viable option.
Vivo V3 Max

The V3 Max (Review) was one of the first smartphones in the country to offer a Snapdragon 652 SoC (Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 + quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53), combined with 4 gigs of RAM. Alongside these, there is 3,000mAH battery that also has fast charging capabilities to keep you going.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
The recently released smartphone from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 4 (Review), has been generating rave reviews ever since it ventured into the Indian market. Offering a 5.5-inch full HD display, the phone performs exceedingly well in terms of color accuracy and viewing angles. Moreover, the device is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 625 processor supported by an Adreno 506 GPU with a maximum of 4GB RAM. True to its features, we did not find any lags in the games we played on our Redmi Note 4 review unit.
