Qualcomm is upgrading its mid-range 600-series in a big way for 2018 and the best in its mid-tier lineup will be the Snapdragon 660 that we expect to see on numerous phones next year. In 2017, we saw manufacturers shifting (or downgrading) from Snapdragon 652/653 to Snapdragon 625 for better battery efficiency but Snapdragon 660 is going to fix that.

This chip will bring flagship-grade performance to mid-range or even affordable phones in India next year, and here is a list of best Snapdragon 660 phones that are already available.

  1. Can’t get the Nokia 7 Plus because of the ugly rounded screen, can get Nokia 6 (2018) because it has SD630 and not SD636 and can’t get any other phone because they aren’t part of Android One. They are *forcing* me to get a $1000+ phone and I don’t want to. 🙁

    • v1adimir, you can pick up a number of snapdragon 820 phones for under $300, that’s what I would suggest. Not sure what specs you’re looking for or I would throw out some suggestions, but they are out there. The snapdragon 835 phones are starting to drop as well, check out s8/s8+ phones at groupon.
