TL; DR
  • BenQ launches the RD270Q, a 27-inch 2K programming monitor, priced at ₹29,989 in India.
  • Coding Mode offers Light, Dark, and Paper Color presets for reduced eye strain.
  • USB-C with 65W Power Delivery and a 90-degree pivot stand round out the feature set.

Most monitors are designed for general computing and then marketed toward every use case and every type of user under the sun. BenQ is taking the opposite approach with the RD270Q. It is a monitor built from the ground up specifically for developers, and it’s priced in a way that makes it accessible to a much wider audience in the Indian market.

BenQ RD270Q: Pricing & Availability

The BenQ RD270Q is built from the ground up specifically for professional buyers. It is priced at ₹29,989 for the Indian market, which makes it much more affordable than the company’s other offerings. It is already available across leading online and offline retail partners starting July 28, 2026.

BenQ RD270Q: Key Features Explained

The 27-inch RD270Q centers around a 2K IPS Reflection-Free Nano Matte panel, paired with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling through code, documentation, and system UI. The standout feature is BenQ’s dedicated Coding Mode, which offers Light, Dark, and a newly introduced Paper Color preset.

The latter delivers an ePaper-like viewing experience aimed at reducing eye strain during long sessions. Then there’s the Visual Optimizer, which automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature based on ambient lighting. Finally, the Night Hours Protection feature enables ultra-low brightness viewing for late-night coding.

Beyond the display itself, the RD270Q addresses the practical friction of a modern development setup. It supports USB-C connectivity with 65W Power Delivery, allowing a single cable to handle both display output and laptop charging. A dedicated Coding HotKey switches between presets instantly.

The ergonomic stand supports height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and a full 90-degree pivot for portrait-mode coding. I’d say that it is quite useful for reviewing long stretches of code or documentation vertically. The monitor works across Windows, macOS, and Linux, and integrates with BenQ Display Pilot 2 for features like Desktop Partition and application shortcuts.
