Asus has teased the oncoming launch of the Zenfone 6 phone to be held at a special event in Valencia, Spain. On May 16, 2019, we would witness the unveiling, also live streamable. The official twitter post touts the next iteration could defy ordinary and we get an idea of the design the phone would sport.
Courtesy of leakers and the digital rumor mill, we have already heard of several important specs and features related to the upcoming Zenfone 6.
Zenfone 6 Specs and Features (expected)
From the recent twitter image, we see the device to be more or less bezel-less. Thus a OnePlus 7 like pop-up mechanism should be a safe bet. However, as far as some rumors go, Asus might take the slider route.
The first dummy unit tips a dual selfie camera on top, coupled with bright LED lights, while the bottom houses a front-firing speaker. They could also place additional camera control at the bottom.
Speaking of cameras, the dual selfie setup were affirmed by the FCC certification of the device. It is no wonder that the Asus Zenfone 6 could sport a 48MP sensor. Other spec details looming in the rumor town are 18W fast charging, and a dual-SIM variant.
If we go by the Antutu leaks, even its internals could be flagship-grade comprising of Snapdragon 855 SoC, Android 9.0 Pie 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage. Geekbench leak had also cemented some of these details. If you’re wondering, the facade could don a 1080+ resolution AMOLED screen.
Its predecessor i.e. Zenfone 5Z (review) was surprisingly impressive bang for the buck. It packed high-end specs, hardware performance and camera experience at a significantly low price. Thus, its descendant has a higher expectation to meet.
