After much deliberation, Asus finally unveils its Zenfone 4 series smartphones. The company, at an event in Taiwan, launched two sets of smartphones – one with dual-camera set-up and the other with powerful selfie cameras.

Taking the former into account, the new Asus Zenfone 4 Pro and Asus Zenfone 4 will certainly remind you of iPhone 7 Plus. The phones come clad in a metal unibody design and have dual-cameras horizontally placed at the back of the phone.

Talking about specifications of the phones, both devices sport a 5.5inch of display size, a 2.5D glass on top, and an Android 7.1.1 Nougat software with Zen UI 4.0 skin on top.

For photography, the new Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro come with 12MP dual-sensor at the back with dual-tone LED Flash, Dual Pixel, Sony sensor and f/1.8 aperture. On the front, both sport an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, an 84° field of view and 24mm focal length.

Zenfone 4 Pro vs Zenfone 4 – What’s different?

The major difference between the two devices is the chipset being used. On Zenfone 4 Pro we have the latest octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, well-supported by 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB expandable internal storage (you can expand it up to 2TB, via microSD card). To keep things running we have a 3,600 mAh battery with fast charging support.

The Zenfone 4 Pro also uses an AMOLED display panel as against the IPS LCD panel on Zenfone 4.

On the other hand, the Zenfone 4 is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and assisted by Adreno 508 GPU. The processor is paired with 6GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage, and the phone houses a 3300 mAh battery.
