Leading electronics manufacturer Asus has added a new laptop to its Asus ZenBook Pro series, and the company has pronounced it as the Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE. The new laptop also carries a touch of ZenBook Pro series legacy of being the fastest, thinnest and lightweight laptop.
The ZenBook Pro UX550VE weighs 1.81kg and measures 365.76×251.46×17.78mm and employs Intel’s seventh generation i7 core processor with GTX 1050 Ti GPU under the hood.

The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE flaunts a 15.6-inch full HD (1920 x 1080pixels) display that reflects sharp and vibrant colors, and support up to 178-degree wide-view technology. The lid of the laptop sports thin bezels around the screen, giving a screen-to-body aspect ratio of 83 percent.
The display is also touch-responsive and features 10-point multi-touch input, which you can also access with Asus Pen style that will be sold separately.
Other than that, the laptop’s quad-core 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor is backed by 16GB of DDR4 RAM and PCIE NVMe 512GB drive storage. The laptop also packs Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU for graphics capabilities.
In terms of connectivity, the Asus ZenBook UX550VE includes two Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C ports and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, Bluetooth, and dual-band Wi-Fi. There is also a fingerprint scanner mounted on the laptop that provides support for Windows Hello unlocking method, and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) webcam.
The laptop draws juice from its turbo-charge battery (up to 60 percent in just 49 minutes), which should give you up to 14 hours of battery backup. The laptop also houses dual-fan cooling system, which the company claims can keep the laptop’s temperature to 2.35-degree Celsius cooler than its previous generation model.
Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE Price and Availability
The company unveiled the laptop in the United States, where it has been priced at $1,699, roughly to 1.2 Lakhs INR. Just like other Asus ZenBook laptop, this one will also be shipped to India but, there is no official wording as to when is that going to happen.
