TL; DR
- iPhone 17 (256GB) may get a ₹12,000 price hike in India to ₹94,990 from early August, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav.
- iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max prices may also rise; supply shortages are affecting iPhone 17 availability.
- Apple is reportedly preparing an M6 Mac refresh, starting with a 14-inch MacBook Pro, followed by new iMacs, MacBook Airs, and a MacBook Neo with the A19 Pro chip.
Apple is having quite the month in India. The company has already raised prices across iPads, Macs, and smart home devices. Now, it appears the iPhone 17 series could be next. Meanwhile, a separate Bloomberg report signals a sweeping Mac lineup overhaul is underway.

On the iPhone front, tipster Abhishek Yadav posted on X that Apple has informed iPlanet dealers of an upcoming price revision for the iPhone 17 (review). The base 256GB iPhone 17 is moving from ₹82,990 to ₹94,990. If true, we could be looking at a ₹12,000 or around 14% hike effective from the first week of August.

iPhone 17 Could Get A 14% Hike Soon
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could also see similar hikes, though their revised figures remain a secret for now. Both currently start at ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,49,900 in India, respectively. For now, there’s no word yet on whether the iPhone Air is affected. The reason why the hike seems all the more likely is the recent iPhone price hike in Japan.

Apple recently revised iPhone prices in Japan by up to 11.3%, with the standard iPhone 17 going from JPY 1,29,800 to JPY 1,42,800. Separately, a supply crunch is affecting iPhone 17 retail availability across India, with fresh stock expected to reach dealers by next weekend.

Apple Plans To Capitalize On The AI Boom With New Macs
On the Mac side, a Bloomberg report claims Apple plans to refresh its entire Mac lineup by next year, capitalizing on rising demand for AI-capable hardware. The 14-inch MacBook Pro, codenamed J804, is expected to ship with the M6 chip, followed by two new iMac models (J833 and J834). The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models (J913, J915) could also get refreshed, but without a design overhaul.

A new MacBook Neo powered by the A19 Pro chip is also in development, alongside iMac models that may gain OLED displays.
