As expected, Apple Watch is now available for purchase in India. 38mm models start from 30,990 INR and the 42 mm variants start from 34,900 INR.

Consumers will have the option to choose from Apple Watch Sports (Silver Aluminium Case with White Sport Band), Apple Watch (Stainless steel Case with White Sport Band), and Apple Watch Edition (18-Carat Rose Gold Case with White Sport Band) in two different strap sizes.

The 38 mm variants of the three have been priced at 30,900 INR, 48,900 INR and 8,20,000 INR respectively. On the other hand, 42mm variants will cost 34,900 INR, 52,900 INR and 9,90,900 INR. Price for extra straps start at 3,900 INR.

At these prices Apple Watches explicitly feel more like luxury watches. If you are an iPhone user and are craving for smartwatch experience, this should be your best bet (i.e., if you can afford them) for now, as Apple watch has greater access to your phone than any other wearable.

On the outside, the Watch looks very premium and polished. The digital crown for navigation makes a lot of sense and works well. Besides, there are loads of customization options and straps you can choose from.

The Apple Watch acts as a fitness tracker, as an extension of your phone and can relay all your phone messages and notifications. The intuitive and heavily customizable Watch OS was recently upgraded to Watch OS 2 and now allows for native apps on the watch.
