Apple Faces Heat Over iPhone 6s Heating Issue

1

Within weeks of Apple launching its new iPhones – 6s and 6s Plus – some of their users have raised question over its Touch ID sensor, which is heating more than what is customary.  The heating is more than discomforting, as many users report it is also hampering the camera performance.

iPhone heating issue

According to reports, whenever phone heats up camera flash stops responding in these new phones. Images have also surfaced on the net in which iPhone’s camera app pops up a “Flash is disabled” message further stating that “The iPhone needs to cool down before you can use the flash.”

Some of the iPhone lovers have reportedly scribbled their complaints on Apples official support community page about an abrupt shutdown, and speaker and volume control malfunction. JazzieFayy, an Apple iPhone 6s user, posted on official forum: “I have had my phone since Friday, and this morning when I woke up the home button was burning hot and the screen is just black. I went to bed with it working just fine last night, plugged it into charge, and now it won’t work. Nothing else is hot, not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire. I have had the phone unplugged for an hour and the button is still on fire.  I had just made the choice to switch from a Samsung to this iPhone and need to say it makes me slightly regret my choice because I have always known that apple products have tons of issues. I am not happy that I have had this phone for less than 5 days and this is happening. Anyways, is there anything I can do to fix it without having to go into the apple store? I did not finish setting up my iCloud, so to lose all of information because of a defective phone will not make me happy.”

Other users also faced similar difficulties and took other mediums to express their rage. Jonnie Hallman – a Brooklyn-based freelance designer took to twitter and shared his frustration on Twitter. In a sarcastic tone, he tweeted: “My iPhone 6s shut off with 50% battery left and the home button became so hot I couldn’t touch it… New feature?

Previous generation iPhones have also faced their fair share of criticism. Last year, iPhone 6 was in the limelight due to notorious ‘bend gate’. More than 300 bent devices were snapped by users last year, thus revealing the seriousness of the issue. This year apple made amends by using a stronger Aluminum alloy. But looks like, this year is going to be even tougher for Apple.
