TL; DR
  • Apple will host WWDC 2026 from June 8 to June 12, with the keynote scheduled for June 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT or 10:30 p.m. IST.

Apple has officially announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2026 will take place from Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 12, 2026. The keynote will be held on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT (10:30 p.m. IST/ 1:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. GMT) and will be streamed live through Apple’s website, YouTube, and the Apple Developer app.

The announcement was made on March 23, 2026, which follows Apple’s usual timeline of revealing WWDC dates toward the end of March.

WWDC 2026 will continue with a hybrid format. The main conference will be accessible online at no cost for developers worldwide. In addition, Apple will host a limited in-person experience at Apple Park, open to select attendees such as Apple Developer Program members and Swift Student Challenge winners.

Software Announcements Expected

WWDC26

WWDC remains Apple’s primary platform for introducing new versions of its operating systems. This year’s event is expected to include:

  • iOS 27
  • iPadOS 27
  • macOS 27
  • watchOS 27
  • tvOS 27
  • visionOS 27

No hardware announcements are expected at the event.

Focus on Apple Intelligence and Siri

Apple Intelligence

Apple is expected to continue expanding its Apple Intelligence features across its ecosystem. Most prominently, we’re expecting Apple to finally announce Siri with improved contextual awareness, additional on-device AI capabilities, and broader integration across apps and services, which was promised two years ago. And yes, Siri will be powered by Gemini models.

iOS 27 May Take a Stability-First Approach

iOS 26

One of the more interesting expectations around WWDC 2026 is how Apple is reportedly approaching iOS 27. According to earlier reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is said to be taking a Snow Leopard style direction with this release.

That reference goes back to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, which focused heavily on stability, performance improvements, and bug fixes, instead of introducing major visual changes or feature additions.

A similar approach for iOS 27 would mean Apple shifting attention away from redesigns and headline features, and instead working on fixing the growing list of issues users have faced in recent versions like iOS 18 and iOS 26.

That direction aligns with current user sentiment. Recent iOS versions have introduced noticeable glitches, inconsistent animations, and occasional performance/ battery issues. A stability-focused update would directly address those concerns.

How to Watch WWDC26

The keynote will be available as a free livestream on YouTube and Apple’s website, while developer sessions and labs will be accessible through Apple’s developer website with registration. Applications for attending the in-person experience at Apple Park are expected to open shortly after the announcement.
