What AMD has announced at Computex 2026 is arguably more useful for Indian PC builders. We’re talking about affordable, purposeful upgrades for both the AM4 and AM5 platforms. Then there’s a graphics card that was previously only available in China and is now available to the rest of the world.
What Did AMD Announce At Computex 2026?
There are three headline announcements that the chip maker made at Computex 2026.
First, there’s the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, which is a global expansion of a card AMD had previously sold only in the Chinese market. It uses the same 4nm Navi 48 silicon found in the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, but with 48 compute units enabled rather than the 56 on the standard RX 9070.

The GPU is paired with 12GB of GDDR6 on a 192-bit memory bus. Even though the change is minimal, the result is a GPU that is positioned between the RX 9060 XT and the RX 9070, targeting 1440p gaming at a global launch price of $549.
AMD claims it delivers 22% higher average performance than the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB across more than 40 video game titles, figures that need independent verification. Board partners at launch include ASUS, Sapphire, and XFX.
On the processor side, AMD introduced the Ryzen 7 7700X3D for AM5, an 8-core, 16-thread processor with 104MB of total 3D V-Cache, a 4.5GHz boost clock, and a 120W TDP. The process is launches July 16 at $329.

This makes 3D V-Cache technology much more accessible on AM5 than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which launched at a higher price of $449. For AM4 users unwilling to change platforms, AMD also re-released the Ryzen 7 5800X3D as a 10th Anniversary Edition, retaining its Zen 3 architecture and 96MB of 3D V-Cache.
This particular GPU is launching June 25 at $349, bundled with a Carbice Ice Pad. AMD also reaffirmed its commitment to the AM5 platform through 2029, which could be quite important for Indian buyers looking to invest in a new processor.
What About India Pricing & Availability?
AMD has confirmed global availability for the RX 9070 GRE from June 2, but India-specific pricing has not been announced yet. For some context, the regular RX 9070 launched in India at ₹72,999 on platforms like EliteHubs.
Given that the GRE model carries a $549 MSRP versus the RX 9070’s original $549 MSRP, and ships with lesser VRAM and a narrower memory bus, it is reasonable to expect India pricing in the range of ₹48,000 to ₹55,000 (the actual pricing depends on import duties, GST, and board partner pricing).
