The brand touts Echo Show 8 as a perfect gadget for your home to watch shows, movies, news briefs, sports highlights, listen to music, sing along with on-screen lyrics, make hands-free calls, and even entertain your child with nursery rhymes.

The front panel measures 8-inches and is of HD pixel resolution. You get to personalize the visuals with your albums from Amazon Photos. The device packs two-inch neodymium speakers with stereo output backed by a passive bass radiator.

The smartness comes with built-in Alexa voice assistant and WiFi connectivity. So, you get to watch movie trailers, TV shows, movies, news or listen to radio stations, podcasts, and audiobooks.
Alexa presents your daily schedule, weather, to-do lists, traffic, and search results at a glance on the screen. You can control other smart home gizmos with just your voice. The galore of features also include calling, video-chatting, text messaging and or pushing announcements to other smart accomplices within the house.
Amazon also vaunts manual and electronic privacy measures such as a button for disconnecting camera, mics and a shutter for the webcam.

Amazon Echo Show 8 pricing and availability
Amazon has priced the Echo Show 8 at Rs. 12,999. However currently, the device is available Rs. 8,999 as a part of the pre-booking offer. In comparison, the bigger 8-inch Echo Show comes at Rs. 22,999 while the smaller sibling, the Echo Show 5 (5-inch) retails at Rs. 6,999.
