Taiwanese smartphone and PC maker Acer brought three new smartphones – Acer Liquid Jade 2, Liquid Zest and Liquid Zest 4G at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. The Liquid Jade 2 will replace its predecessor Liquid Jade as the Company’s flagship smartphone. The makers have stayed mum on the availability and pricing of Acer Liquid Jade 2 as of now. However, as per the information disseminated by the company, Acer Liquid Zest and Zest 4G will go on sale from April and May respectively in EMEA regions. Acer has priced Liquid Zest at EUR 109 (Rs. 8,250 approx.) and its 4G variant at EUR 149 (Rs. 11,250 approx.).

The Liquid Jade 2 flagship device houses a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with a 1920x1080p resolution and 178-degree wide viewing angles. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and features Acer’s Zero Air Gap technology, which as per the makers will offer better sunlight legibility.
Under the hood, it is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC assisted by Adreno 418GPU and 3 Gigs of RAM. The device comes with 1TB of hybrid storage out of which 32GB on-board while remaining 992GB is based on the cloud. For shutterbugs, Acer has roped in a 21-megapixel primary snapper with f/2.2 aperture dual-LED flash, PDAF and 4K recording. It also features an 8-megapixel f/2.2 secondary shooter with 84-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video chats. The phone comes running on Andriod Marshmallow and includes 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1 as connectivity options. The company has also bundled DTS headphone and Type-C cable for USB Type-C port in the box.

On the other hand, both Acer Liquid Zest series phones sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280x720p resolution. The Liquid Zest is packed with 1.3 GHz quad-core chipset whereas the 4G variant is powered by a 1GHz quad-core SoC. Both these devices come loaded with DTS-HD Premium Sound Technology to offer great music experience.
