HTC launched One X9 alongwith Desire 530, Desire 630 and Desire 825 at MWC 2016

The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC launched three new smartphone – Desire 530, Desire 630, and Desire 825 under its Desire portfolio as well as One X9 which in the past was only announced for China. The One X9 will be made available in North Asia and Europe, Middle East and African countries at the end of this month. All three Desire series phones will roll out sometime in March. There is still uncertainty over pricing of each device as HTC shied away from revealing details at the launch event.

HTC One X9 features and specs

HTC in the last week of December 2015 introduced a One X9 in China and has now launched a global variant of this high-end smartphone. Apart from slight shift in position of BoomSound speakers, the phone appears more or less same as Chinese variant. HTC One X9 flaunts a metal unibody exterior and will come in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold, and Cooper Rose.

The One X9 enjoys a 5.5-inch full HD display with an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek’s MT6795T Helio X10 ticking at 2.2GHz under its hood. It comes with 3 gigs of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

At the back of HTC One X9, one will find a 13-megapixel camera on with autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS) and dualLED (dual tone) flash. On the front, a 4-megapixel ‘UltraPixel’ secondry camera is placed for selfies and video chats. On the connectivity front, it comes with dual-SIM 4G LTE connectivity, wi-fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS among other features.

The Desire 825 sports a 5.5-inch HD Super LCD display and is powered by 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM with a microSD card slot. For photography enthusiasts it houses a 16-megapixel rear camera at the rear side and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. This dual SIM phone comes with a 2,700mAh battery and support 4G LTE support. HTC has roped in a pair of BoomSound speakers with Dolby support for audiophiles, and is also packed Hi-Res headphones inside the box.

HTC Desire 630 features and specs

This mid-range handset is powered by same chipset as HTC Desire 825. It enthralls Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 chipset and flaunts a 5-inch 720p HD display at the front. The chipset is assisted by 2GB RAM which ensures smooth multitasking experience. On the storage front, it comes with 16GB on-board storage with an expansion slot. The Desire 630 features a 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera. HTC has kept audiophile interest in mind and placed hi-fi audio stereo speaker in the phone. In terms of connectivity options, it comes with dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and others.

HTC Desire 530 features and specs

This low-cost budget smartphone houses a 5-inch 720p HD display with 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Under the hood larks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC which is accompanied by 1.5GB of RAM. Company has fixed an 8-megapixel camera at rear and a 5-megapixel secondary camera at the front.

In these three Desire Series smartphone, HTC has used high-grade polycarbonate for exterior casing, which have undergone a micro-splash process to render a distinctive design on each phone.
