TL; DR
- Stellantis plans 12 Jeep and Citroën launches in India over about three years.
- The first arrives by Q2 2027, backed by roughly ₹4,000 crore of new investment.
- Prices, model names, and other launch dates are unannounced; a compact Jeep is reportedly coming.
After months of rumor and unofficial chatter, Stellantis has finally put numbers on its plan to return to the Indian market. On the table: twelve launches in the next few years, a fresh pile of cash to keep things running smoothly, and a cheaper Jeep to attract more customers. Here is what is confirmed, what isn’t, and the one car I’m watching most closely.

What’s Confirmed: Twelve Launches, ₹4,000 Crore and a 2027 Start
The automaker’s new plan is called FaSTLAne 2030. Tianshu Xin, who heads Stellantis for China and Asia-Pacific, told Autocar India at the Paris Motor Show that the group will bring “12 new models in the next three years.” Seven are Citroëns, and five are Jeeps. Seven are all-new, and five are major upgrades. Of the 12 cars, the first will reach showrooms by the second quarter of 2027. The other eleven, meanwhile, remain undated.
Stellantis has also pledged to invest about ₹4,000 crore in the country over three years. This will take its cumulative India spend from over ₹11,000 crore to roughly ₹15,000 crore by 2030.

Powertrains stay open. Petrol, diesel, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars are all possible. The final mix, however, could depend on affordability, regional regulations, charging infrastructure, and overall market conditions. The group also targets 90% localization and plans to expand its sales and service network into smaller cities, which, I believe, matters more than expanding the lineup itself.
In my view, the compact Jeep’s sticker price decides everything. A smaller, cheaper Jeep only works if it still feels like a Jeep. That balance could be hard to strike. I’d also like one firm date beyond Q2 2027. If you’re shopping for a Jeep or Citroën today, nothing here changes what you can buy.
