After the launch of new Swift was successfully, Maruti Suzuki is now gearing up to release its ‘next big thing’ which is the new Dzire Sedan following suit. Ahead of its release, some leaked spy shots show fresh clues on how its design will be. We are therefore providing an exclusive render for this anticipated sub-4m sedan, which gives an insight into how it might look like.
2024 Maruti Dzire Rendered
Buying a sedan is seen as a forward step taken by motorists just like when one switches over from an APS-C or Micro Four Thirds camera to a full-frame one. However, this comparison may not mean much to Indian consumers because they need different features of cars given their terrain. Nonetheless, in this country, a sedan is looked upon as a classier skin.

The entry-level into the world of three-box saloon cars is the segment of the sub-4m sedan. It is in this category that the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be found, and it is based on the recently launched Swift of the same age. Our exclusive render of this car artistically made by Pratyush Rout attempts to combine both observed test mules and the new Swift’s design lines.
The Swift and the new Dzire have some features in common, including headlights, fog lamps, and a clamshell bonnet. A more refined and sophisticated fascia will distinguish the Dzire from the Swift, especially at the bumper and the grille. In the case of differences between the two, the most notable area under consideration is front design given that our conditionalist noted commits the preview of an elegant design for Dzire.

The logo is prominently displayed in the centre of the grille, which is smaller compared to the Swift’s. The lower bumper exudes a more refined and classier appeal, reducing the aggressive styling seen in the Swift. The wheelbase is expected to be 2,450 mm, identical to that of the Swift, a detail accurately reflected in our Dzire render. The new alloy wheels add a touch of premium sophistication, and the Dzire has also been spotted with a sunroof, enhancing its upscale features.
The new Dzire boasts an appealing and well-executed side profile. Despite this, the Honda Amaze, in my opinion, remains the best ‘three-box’ implementation in the sub-4m segment. The new Dzire is expected to feature distinct taillights, similar to its third-generation predecessor and the Swift. Additionally, the increased boot space will be a major selling point for this vehicle.

The new Dzire inside is expected to have similar dashboards and amenities as in the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The 9-inch panel with a built-in music system, an Android auto and Apple car play, a button start for keyless entry, air conditioning vents at the back seat, and cruise control amongst other features. Besides it, Dzire will be provided with rear centre armrests; hence we expect it to have front armrests too.
Expected Powertrain
The newly launched Swift is powered by the new Z12E 1.2L 3-cylinder engine that delivers 80 bhp (brake horsepower) and peak torque of 112 Nm (Newton meters), teamed up with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automated manual transmission. As compared to Swift’s aerodynamic body shape which creates turbulence at high speeds; the slightly more streamlined design of the new Dzire may well help Maruti in claiming better fuel efficiency than its predecessor, bettering the fuel consumption rate of 25 kmpl by Swift.
