2022 MG Gloster launched in India; Minor tweaks to the exterior and improved features

The revised 2022 MG Gloster has debuted in India with latest ADAS technology with upgraded features. The new Gloster arrives with minor changes to the exterior design and continues with 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain options. It will be a rivalry with Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian. 

2022 MG Gloster Price and Availability

The British automobile maker has brought the 2022 MG Gloster in three different variants – Super, Sharp, and Savvy. Each model will be available with 7-seaters while the Savvy trim arrives with 6-seating space as well. The prices start at Rs 31.99 lakh for the base Super trim which goes up to Rs 40.77 lakh for the high-specced Savvy.

2022 MG Gloster Features

The 2022 Gloster gets a new set of 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with few changes to the front and rear bumpers. Other features include a three-slat front grille, LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, fog lights, LED tail lamps, chrome handlebars, and side steps.

It arrives with a new Deep Golden colour variant along with existing Metal Black, Agate Red, Metal Ash, and Warm White.

The 2022 MG Gloster interiors include over 75 connected car features along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It sports a large 31.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with 12 speaker audio setup. It offers a first-in-segment Shortpedia News app and Gaana search via voice commands with more than 35 preset Hinglish commands.

It also gets an Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) to assist in your drives. MG has introduced Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA) for the first time. The new Gloster allows users to control audio, AC, and ambient lighting with i-Smart functions compatible with Apple and Android smartwatches.

MG has chosen to go with the existing engine that uses a 2.0L turbocharged diesel mill tuned to two states – 160 bhp/375 Nm and 215 bhp/ 480 Nm. The transmission option is 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will be offered in both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain layouts.
