The Mi Mix 2S will be the Xiaomi's first smartphone to rock Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845. The firm confirmed that the smartphone will first see the light of day on in its home soil, China, on March 27, and later will be shipped to other markets as well.
As of now, the Mi Mix 2S is expected to sport the same bezel-less display as seen in the previous series of Mi Mix devices. However, this time it is said that the screen will have a notch on top for the selfie camera. The phone will feature a 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160×1440 pixels) display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Mi Mix 2S will be powered by octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is also rumored to include a 3400mAh battery and fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear panel. The Mi Mix 2S will come running on Android Oreo with MIUI 9 skin on top out of the box and house a 3,400mAh battery. Like most Xiaomi phones, the Mix 2S will support dual SIM cards and IR blaster.
For photography, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will have a dual-camera setup on the rear. The sensor might be a combination of 12-megapixels sensor with autofocus and LED flash. For selfies, the phone will have a single 8-megapixel sensor.
