Vivo, a BBK owned company that also has stakes in Oppo, has launched its notched display phone, Vivo V9, in India. The phone is counted as the successor of Vivo V7 - that means there will be no V8, sport a 19:9 screen aspect ratio display with iPhone X-like notch on top.
As for the specifications of Vivo V9, the phone boasts a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2280X1080) display with 19:9 aspect ratio and notched display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 mobile chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Vivo V9 comes running on Android Oreo-based Funtouch OS out-of-the-box.
In optics, the Vivo V9 will again target the selfie aficionados with alleged 24MP selfie camera with AI beauty. Since the phone is skipping top bezel, the front camera and all other sensors will be placed on the notch. The primary camera in Vivo V9 is a combination of a 16MP+5MP sensor with LED flash. The extra-sensor is to add depth-effect on portrait shots clicked by phones.
The phone is aided by 3260mAh battery and includes face ID unlock as well as a fingerprint sensor on the back. In terms of connectivity, Vivo V9 comprises of 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm fingerprint sensor.
