Vivo iQOO 3 Details
IQOO has delivered its first smartphone IQOO 3 in India. This flagship phone is powered by powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC, including a quad-camera set up, and 55W fast charging support. Look like IQOO is set to make a mark in the flagship segment. But can this phone stand against other competitive rivals? Is it worth spending your money? Let’s read about it and find answers.
Display and Design
Vivo iQOO 3 comes with a 6.44-inch color FHD+ AMOLED display including a waterdrop notch at the top. The panel meets the resolution of 1080x2400 pixels, which amounts to 409ppi. The screen is likely to produce detailed and sharp content. The aspect ratio of the phone is 20:9, with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.4%. Buyers can experience videos and games on more screen with less bezel. Also, the phone adds an in-display fingerprint sensor.
iQOO 3 has a gloss finish at the back and an aluminum frame running along the sides - which gives it a stylish and premium look. The phone measures 158.5mmx74.8mmx9.1mm and weigh 214.5 gms which may feel heavy, especially when you hold it for a long time. iQOO 3 comes in three different color options - Volcano Orange, Tornado Black, and Quantum Silver. Vivo adds value to this phone with its elegant design and build.
Configuration and Camera
Vivo iQOO 3 runs on the latest version of Android 10. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and a powerful Adreno 650 GPU. This 5th generation SoC from Qualcomm offers class-leading performance including smooth gaming and lag-free experience, while Adreno 650 GPU renders the graphics and makes the games run more stable.
iQOO 3 flaunts a 48MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor to capture more in image frame, a 13MP sensor with telephoto lens that enables 20x digital zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor for mapping depth. It wouldn’t be unwise to expect quality photography from this flagship-grade phone.
Battery and Storage
The phone features a 4440 mAh Li-ion battery, and depending upon your usage, the battery can give a day of power, plus with fast charge support, you will be able to fill it quickly.
Vivo iQOO 3 has 128GB of inbuilt memory, which may feel satisfying to most buyers. The phone doesn’t have any extra storage options but it is powered by UFS 3.1 that makes the phone faster for reading and writing huge data from and to the storage.
Connectivity
The connectivity options of Vivo iQOO 3 include 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, UFS 3.1, and USB-C. Vivo iQOO 3 includes support from Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi. Location tracking constellations like GPS and Glonass are also supported. The charging and data transfer port is reversible USB Type-C.
iQOO 3 offers class-leading specs and interesting camera set up. And since it’s an online exclusive phone, it retails at a very aggressive price. If you are looking for a more familiar brand, you may consider options OnePlus 7T, Galaxy A80, Galaxy A71, and Galaxy Note 10 Lite.

User Reviews

A Flagship Killer from Vivo
After major companies like Samsung, Oneplus giving their best for competing in under 40K segment a new brand like Vivo showing its interest by providing a top-specced device that looks very promising on paper it will be nice to see how other brands will deal with that
Terrific
WHY IQOO 3 has to BUY or NOT, honest review, please read full: At first, I want to say till date i.e. on 16-5-2020, PRICE:: Snapdragon 865 SoC smartphone: Realme X50: 39000.00 (base variant 6GB+128GB) One plus 8: 42000.00 (base variant 6GB+128GB) MI 10 5G: 49999.00 (base variant 6GB+128GB) But... Iqoo 3 got on 34990.00 (best buy among all, base variant 8GB+128GB) Why this phone I like to buy:: 1) SDM 865 SoC 2) super amoled display 180 hz touch response 3) DDR5 RAM 4) UFS 3.1 5) Monster mode with dedicated gaming button. CONFUSION: First, before buying this mobile, I have in mind... IQOO.. I never heard the brand.. just research and think when I was buying redmi 2, same thing came in my mind.. but in 2020 how it developed, same scenario I hope for Iqoo sub brand of Vivo India. DISPLAY:: I like the design.. looks premium Super Amoled display with 180 hz touch response, but only 60hz refresh rate. Bit heavier while pick in hand but it is adjusted with time. Nice camera design Small size front cam does not disturb too much while gaming or viewing movie as like in water drop notch. Heptic feedback while typing is amazing premium feel. SOUND: It does not have stereo speakers, but the speaker is very much loud and it does not feel absence of stereo. But while gaming it may cover the speaker. But I like it's loudness even you sound clarity even in high traffic or crowded place. Camera:: 48MP primary+ 13MP wide angle + 13MP telephoto with 20x zoom + 2 MP depth sensor sounds really great, but not up to the mark. May be the update make it awesome. If you are a camera addictive it's not so suit for you. Battery and Charging:: A battery with 4440 mAh capacity and fast charging of 11Vx5A=55W . Makes it incredible. I have playing four games of PUBG in HDR with high refresh rate and playing few video songs on YouTube around 4hrs continuously it dropped from 100% to 74% only. And while charging from 17% to 100% tooks only 32 minutes. Really a jaw dropping experience. Processor:: It's main feature on the top notch, Snapdragon 865 SoC with adreno 650 GPU, latest processor in 2020. Absolute fantastic, no lagging issue hang issue found so far. Best in Class, 8GB DDR5 RAM and 128 GB is enough for a normal user and copying is super fast with UFS 3.1. Beast in Class. Accessories:: With it's package, one can obtain mobile handset with pre-applied protective film, which is better than the cheap temper glass which we can buy from store in 200-250 ruppees. One whitish transparent tpu back cover which is hard cover I like it's quality and it's premium feel. A wired earphone... Really ba wired headphone very good quality free with with it. Does not it awesome?? Drawbacks: 1) Camera quality is good but picture quality is very average, in outdoor it takes better picture but indoor pictures are not up to the mark. Need to improve. Coz a specs like 48+13+13+2 really hurts if not meet the expectations. 2) heating issue, while playing PUBG or high graphics heavy games.. you feel the heat, even it has vapour chamber but not evaporated heat while playing games for long hours. 3)Iqoo OS, is a developing OS. Lots of improvement is required, In such a premium phone, a OS like MIUI, EMUI or Oxygen OS like OS everyone of us expecting. But a funtouch like OS, Iqoo really pinching the real satisfaction. These are three major drawback, I have found so far while using my Iqoo 3 smartphone in these days. Hope a better update in future which may vanish these drawbacks. CONCLUSION: In conclusion part, I just want to say that if you are a game lover or using a phone for day to day works, just go for it hassle free, if you are a camera lover like to shoot best pictures, go for other phone like Honor P30 or Samsung S20 or MI10. But I am satisfied coz I like to play game basically in such phone and I got it under RS 35000. Thanks for your patience of reading my review and if you like my review, kindly tap a like. Thank you :) Best Regards Manas, Assam
