Samsung S8500 Wave review: Hello, world!
The Samsung S8500 Wave is the first phone to run a brand new OS and this may look great on its resume but isnt what makes it worthwhile. The potential is all there and the UI user-friendliness is at its peak so even if Bada OS never takes off, the Wave would make a perfect feature phone nonetheless.
Now, how about the phone? We think the S8500 Wave is well worth its asking price and it would serve well the goal of paving the way to the mass market for a brand new OS.read more →

Samsung S8500 Wave preview: First look
The Samsung S8500 Wave is an interesting device indeed. Performance is pretty good even at this early stage and we take it as a promise there will be little to complain about in the end. While the limited 3rd party software puts it to a disadvantage, the impressive display and the latest Bluetooth 3.0 seem the perfectly good reasons to give it a try.
So, users should hope Samsung S8500 Wave and Bada OS in general has better fate and receives the after-sale support that it deserves.read more →

Samsung Wave
The Wave is a lot like a baby Galaxy S. What you lose in screen size and performance, you gain with better materials, build quality, battery life, and camera features (namely an LED flash and a dedicated 2-stage camera button). Bada, surprisingly, behaves a lot like a baby Android. It arguably provides the best feature phone experience currently available, but still leaves us craving for more.read more →
- Great hardware
- Surprisingly smartphone-like functionality
- Solid camera
- Not a smartphone
- Built-in apps not great
- No North American 3G
Samsung offers its most powerful phone yet
On paper, it would be easy to slate the Samsung Wave as nothing more than a tarted up Samsung Jet, with a bigger and glossier screen and a 25% more powerful processor.
But this phone is probably the most desirable on the market in terms of the complete package - the at-times average operation is offset by the beauty of the chassis and screen, as well as the pocket-friendly slim dimensions.read more →

Samsung Wave S8500 Review
Using the Samsung Wave S8500 to place and receive phone calls is a terrific experience! Voices are almost crystal clear, while the loudness hits just the sweet spot. And this goes for both ends of the line. If we have to rate the phone quality of the Wave, we would give it a 9.5/10. According to the manufacturer, the Samsung Wave S8500's 1500mAh Li-Ion battery is capable of delivering up to 15 hours of talk time in 2G, and 25 days of stand-by.read more →
