OPPO Find X9 Review: A Great Find if You Know What You’re Looking For
#ExpertReview
After using the OPPO Find X9 for more than two weeks, it became clear that this is not a typical year-over-year refresh. It fixes many of the quirks from the Find X8, changes the ergonomics, introduces a new camera system built around the LYT808 sensor, and brings a surprisingly refined balance between compactness, battery life, and camera performance.
At the same time, it carries some unusual trade-offs for a flagship in its price range. There is still no LTPO panel, the USB port is limited to 2.0 speeds, and the telephoto lens lacks the telemacro capability I expected at this price. So the Find X9 is more of an intentional repositioning than an all-out flagship push.
- Comfortable size and weight
- Crazy thin 1.15mm bezels
- Excellent portraits
- Strong battery life
- Reliable cameras
- No LTPO
- USB 2.0 speeds
- No telemacro
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the battery last on the Oppo Find X9 5G?
You can easily get a day and a half of mixed usage out of its 7025mAh battery, completely removing any daily low-battery anxiety. In real-world testing, it handles standard social media browsing and video streaming long enough to clock an impressive 15 to 18 hours of screen-on time.
Does the Oppo Find X9 5G come with a charger inside the box?
Yes, it actually does! Oppo includes a compatible 80W SUPERVOOC fast charger right in the retail box, alongside a premium protective case, so you don't have to spend extra money on basic accessories.
Does the Oppo Find X9 5G have any heating issues during use?
It generally runs cool for daily tasks, but it can warm up during heavy gaming or prolonged outdoor camera use in the summer heat. If it gets a bit too warm, the system might temporarily drop the screen refresh rate to 60Hz to help itself cool down quickly.
How long does it take to fully charge the Oppo Find X9 5G?
Even with its enormous battery capacity, the included 80W fast charger can completely top the phone up from zero to 100 percent in just about 1 hour. A quick 15-minute top-up gives you plenty of juice to comfortably carry you through the rest of a busy workday.
Is the camera quality on the Oppo Find X9 5G good for photography?
The phone features a triple 50MP camera setup tuned by Hasselblad that takes exceptionally clean, sharp portraits with natural looking skin tones. While the more expensive Pro and Ultra models capture slightly better long-range zoom shots, this standard model easily holds its own against rival flagships.
Can the Oppo Find X9 5G handle heavy gaming like BGMI or Genshin Impact?
Its flagship MediaTek processor handles heavy graphics with zero effort, delivering buttery-smooth frame rates without any annoying lags or stutters. You will only notice a slight, normal warming near the top camera module after playing on maximum graphics settings for more than half an hour.
What kind of screen protection does the Oppo Find X9 5G use?
The display comes equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to safeguard against minor everyday scratches and accidental drops. While some premium competitors offer tougher glass choices, this screen is highly durable and handles daily wear and tear well, especially when paired with the bundled case.
How is the display quality on the Oppo Find X9 5G?
The 6.59-inch AMOLED panel looks stunningly vibrant and keeps your scrolling completely seamless with its responsive 120Hz refresh rate. Just note that the screen features a slightly warm color tint out of the box, though you can easily adjust this to a cooler tone in the display settings.
