The Oppo A83 is the new affordable selfie-centric phone launched by Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo, in India. The key feature of the handset is the Artificial Intelligence feature that works with the selfie camera to deliver better images using algorithms.
As far as specification goes, the Oppo A83 flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) LCD Infinity display up front. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6763T SoC clocked at 2.5GHz, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Oppo A83 13-megapixel camera sensor on the back with an LED flash and Ultra-HD that can create an image of 50-megapixel resolution. Whereas for selfies, it has an 8MP camera sensor on the front.
Talking about the design, the A83 handset brandishes Oppo's ‘UFO Curve Design’, which is the smoothly curved Aluminium back and a flat display up front. To maintain the sleek profile, the A83 uses face unlock instead of the fingerprint sensor to gain access to the phone.
Other than this, the Oppo A83 comes running on Android Nougat with company’s ColorOS 3.2 skin out of the box and packs a 3180mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A83 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
