HTC One (E8) review: Traveling light
The HTC One series has at least one feature it can hang its hat on - premium design. This became absolutely critical with the M8, as the scorching hot flagship was outclassed by its competitors in many other areas - performance and camera being the most obvious.
There goes the One (E8) - one that has to make do with its seemingly biggest advantage taken away, the aluminum unibody and its slick finish and chamfered edges replaced by polycarbonate.read more →

HTC One (E8)
So, what to make of the HTC One (E8) - the phone that has to sell well if HTC is to make its way back towards the top of the sales charts? The HTC One (E8) is a brilliant smartphone with very few flaws. Its main strength is design, but I don't think that's a negative thing as many brands still seem keen to race on specs rather than attracting users when they wander into a shop to a buy something for two years (at a rather high price).
Well, on the one hand it's an easy sell: the design says it all, and the fact it's backed up with some top end specs bodes very well indeed.read more →

HTC One E8 Review
Love the HTC One M8's style, but can't quite afford its price tag? The One E8 is probably what you're looking for. With the exception of its polycarbonate shell, the One E8 is every bit the device we've all come to appreciate and respect.
But don't expect this to be a flawless device – it's got its drawbacks. For example, while the camera captures better detail than the aluminum M8, resulting photos do come out darker than they should be, and way too often. The display is not bad at all, either, but it is too cold and bluish.read more →

- This is a very attractive device
- The screen is visible even under direct sunlight
- Minimalist, stylish, and lag-free interface
- The front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers are excellent
- Color versions with glossy finish are a fingerprint magnet
- The camera isn't rock-solid with its performance
- Call quality leaves something to be desired
- Screen is blueish
HTC One E8 review: A more affordable version of the One M8 clad in shiny plastic
HTC's plastic E8 may not have all of the hardware of the flagship M8, but it does have enough to deliver high-end performance. While the E8 is a quality device, it just doesn't have the wow factor to truly impress. Perhaps the one thing that might catch your eye beyond the glossy colors is the phone's price compared to the expensive M8.read more →
- The HTC One E8 packs top-end hardware with a bright and vibrant display.
- Runs the latest version of HTC's Sense UI
- The phone lacks what made the One M8 unique -- its dual-camera system -- and doesn't really outshine cheaper devices in the features department.
HTC One (E8) review:
HTC took a page from Apple’s playbook — they just changed it up a bit. The plastic build is going to cost less, and offer a touch less as well. The camera is dated, but the rest of the spec sheet is copied from the newer One. HTC is basically taking the metal One and slipping plastic over it, much like Apple did with the iPhone 5C.
The plastic doesn’t offend in any way, and there is no reason to consider it a cheap “out”.read more →
