While the iPhone X shall be the most talked about iPhone model this year, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are the ones long time iOS users will feel more at home with. And that's because it still retains the Home Button and Touch ID, even when it's missing the swanky edge to edge display.
The iPhone 8 Plus has a regular 5.5-inch full HD 3D touch IPS LCD display with substantial bezels on top and bottom. It's 7.5mm thick and weighs a hefty 202 grams. The major design change is the use of scratch resistant glass on both front and rear.
It has the same powerful A11 Bionic chipset as the engine driving it (same as in iPhone 8 and iPhone X) and will retail in 64GB and 256GB storage variants with 3GB RAM. The iPhone 8 Plus performance is expected to be immaculate owing to the powerful chipset.
The iPhone 8 Plus has two 12MP sensors on the rear, but unlike iPhone X, only one of these has optical image stabilization. As for iPhone 8 Plus camera performance, you can use the two sensors for 2X optical Zoom, 4K video recording at 60fps, and for Portrait shots. The portrait lighting feature for studio lighting effects in Portrait images is also present on the iPhone 8 Plus.
Other iPhone 8 Plus features include 2675mAh battery, Wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.0. dual band WiFi ac, and stereo speakers. You can buy iPhone 8 Plus 64GB in India for Rs. 72,990 INR at the launch. You will be able to buy iPhone 8 Plus in India starting from September 29 onwards.
