Sony India has launched Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 smartphones in the country. Sony has vouched for manufacturing both of them in India.

Both these R-series phones seem to be part of Sony’s entry-level smartphone portfolio. Sony ships both of them with the similar plastic body, 2.5D glass on the front and its well-known loop design. Both will be available in Black and silver hues.
In terms of whats under the hood, the Xperia R1 Plus comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor aided by 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage (up to 128GB via a microSD card). It features a 5.2-inch TFT display which supports HD resolution.

Sony is offering the Xperia R1 Plus with a 13MP Exmor rear camera sensor with auto-focus and LED Flash. Up front, it packs a 8MP selfie camera with 76-degree wide angle. It supports most of the common connectivity options such as GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C. The phone comes running on Android Nougat and is Android O upgrade ready. It draws juice from a 2620 mAh battery.
The only difference between Sony Xperia R1 Plus and R1 RAM and storage. The Xperia R1 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, the Xperia R1 features 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. It too supports microSD card up to 128GB. According to Sony, both Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 support Uplink Data Compression (UDC) and VoLTE.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 Price In India and Availability
Sony Xperia R1 Plus is priced in India at Rs 14,990 while Xperia R1 India price is set at Rs 12,990. Both these phones will hit the retail stores and Amazon and Flipkart online starting November 10. Interested customers can pre-register from October 27.
