Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 announced in India: Read on for new features & list of devices

Xiaomi had announced its MIUI 13 update earlier this year when it launched Redmi Note 11 in China. Now today, the company has announced MIUI 13 in India. The company has updated its new Android skin with some new features that aim to make the user experience even better.

The new update comes with a bunch of privacy and security features with a focus on improved performance, refined design, and multi-tasking features.

Xiaomi has announced that several Xiaomi and Redmi phones will get this update later this year. It will roll out to Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11X Pro, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Mi 11X, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Redmi 10 Prime, and a few other smartphones during Q1 of 2022. Here is the list of all the devices which will get this update-

New Features

Liquid Storage

It is a new system-level method of managing the way files are stored on devices. The new technique reduces fragmentation and actively manages stored data, improving defragmentation efficiency by up to 60%. Users can be expected up to 95% of the total improved read/write speeds even after 3 years.

Atomised Memory & Focused Algorithm

Atomised Memory is a new RAM optimization engine. It analyses how apps use memory and divide an app’s RAM usage processes into important and unimportant tasks. It will close inactive background processes to make room for new apps to run smoothly.

With Focused Algorithms, the software will prioritize an active app over the inactive ones, giving users better speed and performance. Smart Balance Feature finds a balance between performance and power consumption to improve battery life up to 10%.

Other Features

MIUI 13 comes with a bunch of new Dynamic and static wallpapers. The update also brings a new sidebar feature, something that we have seen on Color OS and Realme UI. The feature allows users to access apps in a floating window with a swipe. Users can also customize the feature with up to 10 apps in the sidebar.
