Redmi K50 Series gets TENAA Certified making official launch imminent

Redmi is gearing up to launch its upcoming Redmi K50 Series which is expected to have 4 handsets- Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro+ and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.

Although there is no official news on when the series will launch globally or in India, recently Redmi’s GM Lu Weibing took to Weibo to tease the launch of the Redmi K50 Series. During this interaction with people, he hinted that the Redmi K50 Pro+ will launch after the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.

Now the news about the launch has gotten stronger as the Redmi K50 Series devices were seen getting TENAA Certification. According to Digital Chat Station, 3 Redmi K50 phones bearing model numbers 22021211RC, 22041211AC, and 22011211C respectively were spotted on the TENAA listing.

The leakster claims that these smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chipsets. Earlier reports have confirmed that the phone with model number 22021211RC will be Redmi K50 and be powered by Snapdragon 870 and will have 12GB RAM and Android 12.

The Redmi phone with model number 22041211AC is expected to be Redmi K50 Pro and will be powered by the upcoming Dimensity 8000 SoC, while the Redmi K50 Pro+ with model number 22011211C will have MediaTek Dimensity 9000. The first model to be released is Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Now that the smartphones have received certification, the launch of the series gets even more imminent.

According to the latest reports, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will sport a 6.67-inch Hauxing flexible display. It is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone is expected to come with several gaming-oriented features like a dual VC cooling system and gaming shoulder triggers. The smartphone will pack a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

In the camera department, there might be a triple rear camera setup with either a 48MP or a 64MP primary sensor along with 13MP and 2MP secondary cameras. At the front, it is said to feature a 16MP selfie shooter.
