Xiaomi, a renowned player in the smartphone and consumer electronics industry, has officially stepped into the electronic vehicle market with the pre-launch of its Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Max electric vehicles. These cutting-edge EVs come packed with remarkable features, boasting an impressive maximum range of 800 km and achieving rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 2.78 seconds. Early reports suggest that this performance even surpasses that of the Porsche Taycan Turbo. Let’s delve into all the details we currently have about the new Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Max.

Xiaomi SU7s Powertrain and Features

Powering the Xiaomi SU7s is the state-of-the-art Xiaomi HyperEngine v6, capable of reaching an impressive 21,000 rotations per minute (rpm). When it comes to speed, the base SU7 model can achieve peak speeds of up to 210 km/h, while the SU7 Max surpasses that with a claim of reaching speeds of up to 265 km/h.

In the realm of battery performance, the base Xiaomi SU7 is equipped with a 73.6 kWh battery, delivering an extensive maximum travel range of up to 668 km on a single charge. Charging convenience is ensured with compatibility with a 400V charger. On the other hand, the SU7 Max takes it a step further with a larger 101 kWh battery, allowing users to recharge using an 800V charger and providing an impressive maximum travel distance of up to 800 km. These specifications highlight the innovative engineering that Xiaomi brings to the electric vehicle landscape with its SU7 series.

Top-Speed

The base model SU7 exhibits an impressive acceleration, going from 0 to 100 in just 5.28 seconds. Meanwhile, the Max variant, according to the company’s claims, takes this performance to the next level, covering the same distance in an astonishingly swift 2.78 seconds.

Entertainment is taken to a new level with the inclusion of HyperOS in these electric vehicles (EVs). The in-car entertainment system seamlessly operates Xiaomi devices through a central 16.1-inch screen. Users can enjoy a range of smart features, including media access, phone screen casting, seat adjustments, and more.

In terms of autonomy, the new Xiaomi EVs boast self-driving capabilities facilitated by the Xiaomi Pilot platform. This advanced system utilizes on-board cameras to navigate through obstacles and adapts to the terrain with the assistance of AI, ensuring a smooth and safe driving experience.

Adding a touch of personalization, the Xiaomi SU7 will be available in three captivating color variants: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Verdant Green. This diverse color palette allows customers to choose a style that suits their preferences.
