Taking to Twitter, Xiaomi has announced its plan to globally unveil Redmi Note 9-series. The Chinese company has made it clear that they will go for an online event on April 30 at 20:00 GMT.

Xiaomi is promoting the launch with ‘The Legend Continues’ tagline. The teaser, however, doesn’t show any further details revealing the specs of the smartphones.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max are already quite popular in India. The upcoming series will be positioned one rung lower and thus shall be a tad more affordable. Seeing the speculations, Redmi Note 9 is believed to launch with MediaTek Helio G85 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM. The smartphone is expected to ship with a 6.53-inch FHD display and a 48MP quad-camera setup. The handset is likely to have an Android 10- based MIUI 11 operating system.
