Can Xaiomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Come with Snapdragon 660?

Well, if you analysis recent pattern in Xiaomi phones, you will find that the Chinese smartphone maker uses the same chipset in multiple devices. For instance, the Redmi Note 4 (review), Redmi Note 5 (review), Xiaomi Mi A1 (review), Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and Redmi Y2 (review), Redmi 6 Pro – all houses the same Snapdragon 625 chipset.

Recently with Mi A2 (review), Xiaomi has upgraded its mid-tier to Snapdragon 660, therefore, it is plausible that the company could pass on the same chip to Redmi Note 6 Pro.

It is also worth mentioning that the Snapdragon 660 is not exactly a new chipset as it has been around for almost 2 years now. It’s just that OEMs have started employing it in their devices only recently. As the chipset gets older, Qualcomm slashes there prices and they become more affordable to smartphone makers.

Since Redmi Note 6 Pro has already started making rounds of certification websites, we could see it go official sooner than expected.
