Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Launched In India: Price, Availability And Other Details

After creating all the necessary hype Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 4 today in India. This incremental update to Redmi Note 3 offers 20 percent more efficient battery performance thanks to the new Snapdragon 625 chipset, whose popularity is all of a sudden skyrocketing.

Display & Design

The new Note 4 looks elegant with a uni-metal design and 2.5D curved glass on top, but it’s still quite heavy tipping the scale at 165 grams. It comes with the same 5.5-inch full HD 401 PPI display as the Redmi Note 3. The phone also sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. You can buy it in black, gold and gray color options.

Processor

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 houses Qualcomm’s 14nm LPP process based FinFET process based 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64 GB storage depending on the variant they choose. 4G VoLTE support is standard among all three of them.  All variants of Redmi Note 4 come with hybrid SIM tray and can except up to 128GB storage.

Cameras

On the optics front, the Xioami Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13-megapixel, f/2.0 77-degree wide angle camera with phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and dual-tone flash. For selfies lover, it bears a 5-megapixel, f/2.0 fixed focus camera.

We would have loved to see dual camera implementation on the new note iteration. But, well, I guess we will have to wait longer.

Battery

The Redmi Note 4 is packs a 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery however, doesn’t support fast charging and is non-removable. We expect the battery backup to be excellent on the new Note 4.

Operating System

The come out of the box running on Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 which is based on Android Marshmallow operating system.

When will the Redmi Note 4 Be Available in India?

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 variant starts at Rs 9,999. The base model comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM plus 32GB Storage variant is priced at Rs 10,999 whereas the 4GB RAM plus 64GB ROM to retail at rs. 12,999.

The handset will retail on Mi.com and Flipkart starting 23 January.

Not excited……Xiaomi really needs to work on the design part and availability in smaller towns in India.

Though many things are missing if you compare with competition, but still a good phone and as usual value for money and design better than RN3.
