Xiaomi Redmi 5 Spotted Online With 5-inch HD display and 4,000mAh Battery

After launching Redmi Note 4X in China, Xiaomi seems to be working on, what is being alleged as, the Redmi 5. Codenamed ‘MAE136’, the phone was spotted on online certification portal TENAA earlier in the day. The listing on the site also reveals some of the important aspects including specifications, features, and design.

As per the TENNA postings, the Redmi 5 aka MAE136 adhere to the metal body design like its predecessor and has a fingerprint sensor mounted on its back. The antenna bands will have a more prominent presence this time around. The dimension of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be 139×69×8.6mm. In terms of specification, the Redmi 5 will house a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution, Snapdragon 430 Chipset, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage. It could come with a hybrid SIM slot where secondary SIM slot can be replaced by microSD

In terms of specification, the Redmi 5 will house a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution, Snapdragon 430 Chipset, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage: All pointing to an entry-level price point. It could come with a hybrid SIM slot where secondary SIM slot can be replaced by microSD card i f needed.

For optics, it recruits a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and PDAF support. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It comes with a hefty 4,100mAh battery and 4G VoLTE support. The Phone runs on Xiaomi MIUI 8 which boils on top of Android Marshmallow.
