Question: How’s the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro design and build quality?
Answer: Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is as gigantic in size as the A9 Pro (review) but the similarities end there. The newcomer comes with a distinct, slimmer design. The front of the phone is mainly dominated by a 6-inch display which gets a 2.5D Gorilla Glass glass shield to keep minor scratches at bay. The bezel around the display is super slim (76 percent screen to body ratio) and that’s all the way more important while considering big display phones.
Above its display, there is a selfie camera, earpiece, proximity, light sensors, notification light and Samsung branding, whereas, fingerprint embedded home button with capacitive navigation buttons sits just beneath the display.
The sim and microSD card tray alongside power button sits on the right edge whereas, a volume rocker is placed on the left edge. All physical buttons are firm and offer good tactile feedback.
The minimalist rear surface is carved out of metal and features a camera, dual tone flash, subtle antenna bands, and Samsung branding. Bottom of the phone has USB type C port flanked between a single speaker and 3.5 audio jack. Top of the phone is a clean slate barring the secondary noise cancellation mic.
The 6-inch phablet with its full-metallic shell is certainly not suited for single hand operation but tapered edges and well-distributed weights balance ensure it feels comfortable in hand. Well, as comfortable as a 6-inch display phone gets.
