Xiaomi Mi 8 Could Be Launched Globally In Eight Countries Including India Really Soon

Chinese smartphone maker – Xiaomi has publically acknowledged that it will launch much-awaited Mi 8 on May 31 in China. This has certainly created a lot of excitement among the Mi fans. The phone is being teased officially while the Mi 8 leaks continue to pour all over the internet. Amidst all this, Xiaomi Mi 8 Global launch plan teaser has leaked on the web which suggests that the company is planning to bring it to 8 countries including India very soon.

Reddit User Alexeption who notably posts only about Xiaomi products put out an image captioned “the Mi8 is probably coming to at least 8 new countries other than China!”

The image clearly features a Mi Logo which is surrounded by iconic monuments from 8 different countries. The list of countries includes Egypt, Spain, India, Italy, Thailand, Russia, Vietnam, and France. It is worth mentioning here is that Xiaomi didn’t launch the Mi 7 in India.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Features and Specifications (Rumored)

If rumors are anything to go by, the Mi 8 will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone will be running on MIUI 10 and could debut with iPhone X like 3D facial recognition technology.

The rumors have it that Xiaomi could also offer in-display fingerprint sensor in this flagship phone. In terms of optics, the Mi 8 is claimed to feature a dual camera system that includes a 20-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Up front, the Mi 8 will feature a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
