Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 Launch Date Gets Confirmed

Yesterday, the launch date for the next flagship series from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 15 Series was confirmed. The Xiaomi 15 Series will launch in China on 29th October and include Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphones. Now, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that HyperOS 2.0 will be rolled out alongside the Xiaomi 15 Series on 29th October itself.

Talking about the HyperOS 2.0, Lei Jun took to X. His post reads, “Introducing Xiaomi HyperOS 2. We’ve made major upgrades to HyperCore, enhancing the HyperConnect framework and system-level AI capabilities. With the power of HyperAI, the HyperOS 2 delivers a more intuitive and advanced user experience.”

In another X post, he confirmed the launch date to be 29th October and confirmed that he will be live tweeting about the OS along with the production of their new EV, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

Xiaomi HyperOS 2: Expected & Confirmed Features

Lei Jun’s post confirms that HyperOS 2 will have a better HyperConnect Framework with system-level AI capabilities that will power HyperAI. Otherwise, some details have been confirmed about the HyperOS 2 as well. It will be based on Android 15 and come with smoother animations, an iOS-style recent menu, and AI image editing features.

Other Confirmed features are-

  • All-New Super Wallpapers
  • Revamped Camera UI for switching between modes
  • Group Notifications from the same source.
  • Better Animation Engine for improved animations.
  • HyperMind 2.0 to switch between balance and battery life.
  • Group Notifications from the same source.
  • Redesigned Control Center, something similar to iOS.
  • Personalized messages in AOD.

Features that will make the HyperOS experience better-

  • More icon themes and colors.
  • Material You theming system-wide.
  • Detailed statistics about battery health and monitoring.
  • Status Bar being customizable.

What exactly the HyperOS 2 will entail remains to be seen. Since the rollout has been confirmed for next week, we will get to know more about it soon.
