Given that the Xiaomi 15 and the vivo X200 are now official, it makes sense to compare the smartphones, especially since both are about to debut in the global markets, including India. There’s a lot of ground to cover. So, without further ado, let’s start comparing the Xiaomi 15 and the vivo X200, spec by spec, and see how the phones stand against each other.
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Design
Dimensions And Weight
- Xiaomi 15: 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.08/8.36/8.48 mm, the smartphone’s weight ranges between 189 and 192 grams.
- vivo X200: 160.27 x 74.81 x 7.99 mm; 197 grams
Colors
- Xiaomi 15: Purple, Green, Black, White, and Silver
- vivo 200: Sapphire Blue, Titanium, White Moonlight, Night Black
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Display
Xiaomi’s latest flagship, Xiaomi 15, features a rather compact screen that measures 6.36 inches diagonally. The LTPO OLED screen can achieve 3,200 nits of peak brightness, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Further, the screen has a resolution of 460 ppi and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content.
In comparison, the vivo X200 sports a larger 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. However, we believe that the number isn’t for global peak brightness. Nonetheless, the screen supports the same high dynamic range formats and has a similar resolution (460 ppi) as the Xiaomi 15.
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Performance
Under its shiny exterior, the Xiaomi 15 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The chipset features two 4.32GHz prime cores and six 3.53GHz performance cores. Even though it has a higher clock speed than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the new chipset is built on TSMC’s N3E fabrication technology, which consumes about 44% lower CPU power than its predecessor.
Besides, the chipset features the Adreno 830 GPU, which promises much faster graphics rendering and improvements in ray tracing. The Snapdragon 8 Elite features a capable NPU to support on-device multimodal Gemini Nano. Further, the chipset works alongside LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB) and UFS 4.0 storage (up to 1TB).
Talking about benchmarks, the processor manages to score around 2.7 million points on AnTuTu 10 (tested on the Realme GT 7 Pro) and 3,217/9,509 points on the single/multi-core GeekBench 6 benchmark test.
On the other side of the table, the vivo X200 features the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, which features one 3.26GHz prime core, three 3.3GHz performance cores, and four 2.4GHz efficiency cores. Alongside the CPU, the SoC features the Immortalis-G925 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB), and UFS 4.0 storage (up to 1TB).
Like the Snapdragon chip, the Dimensity chip can also run multimodal Gemini Nano entirely on the device. A recent report by GSMArena suggests that the Dimensity 9400 SoC scores about 2.9 million points on AnTuTu 10 (tested on the vivo X200 Pro) and 2,711/8,632 points in the single/multi-core GeekBench 6 test. Although the X200 could perform differently, we expect a similar result.

Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Cameras
The Xiaomi 15 ships with a triple-camera setup developed in collaboration with Leica. It includes a 50MP (f/1.6, 23mm) primary camera, a 50MP (f/2.0, 60mm) telephoto camera for 3.2x optical zoom, and another 50MP (f/2.2, 14mm) ultra-wide sensor for capturing vast landscapes or unique perspectives. Further, users get a 32MP (f/2.0) front camera for attending video calls or clicking selfies.
The vivo X200 has a similar camera configuration, including a 50MP (f/1.57, 23mm) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.57, 70mm) sensor with a periscope lens for 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP (f/2.0, 119-degree) ultra-wide camera with autofocus. On the front, users get a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter. To improve the camera’s output, the company has partnered with Zeiss. The lenses feature a Zeiss T* coating, while the camera app features Zeiss Camera modes.
While the Xiaomi 15 can record 8K video up to 30 fps, the vivo X200 is limited to 4K in up to 60 fps. Clearly, Chinese companies have resorted to including 50MP sensors on their smartphones to maintain a similar resolution and picture quality across all the cameras. In such a scenario, the difference in the image signal processors and how they treat colors could separate the pictures captured on one phone from the other.

Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Connectivity
The Xiaomi 15 and the vivo X200 support Wi-Fi 7 for faster wireless speeds and Bluetooth v5.4 (including support for codecs like SBA, AAC, and aptX). Further, the phones have NFC, GPS, and an IR Blaster for controlling home appliances that still rely on the technology.
However, a key difference in connectivity is the presence of a USB 3.2 Type-C port on the Xiaomi 15, which should be much faster than the USB 2.0 Type-C port on the vivo X200.
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Battery Capacity And Charging Rate
The Xiaomi 15 draws its power from a 5,400 mAh battery that supports 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Thanks to its larger size, the vivo X200 is able to fit in a significantly larger 5,800 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging. Unlike Xiaomi 15, the vivo X200 doesn’t support wireless charging, which could be a dealbreaker for some buyers.
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Operating System
The Xiaomi 15 runs on the company’s latest operating system, HyperOS 2.0. Featuring HyperCore technology, HyperOS 2.0 brings improvements in performance, graphics, and networking. Other highlights include a dynamic lock screen that leverages AI to generate wallpapers, a fresh home screen theme, and support for continuity and seamless data transfer among Xiaomi devices.
The vivo X200 runs on OriginOS 5, which comes with improved animations, additional options for lock-screen customization, and a Dynamic Island-like notification system. Even though both operating systems are based on Android 15, they have a distinct appearance and user interface.
Xiaomi 15 vs. vivo X200: Conclusion
Now that we’ve compared the specifications, let’s move on to the conclusion. The Xiaomi 15 could be ideal for people who prefer smaller smartphones. It features the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which, at the moment, seems to have an upper hand in terms of performance. The smartphone’s base variant starts at CNY 4,499 in China, which is about INR 53,000 in India.
However, those who’ve been a vivo customer for a long time and wish to upgrade to the best smartphone experience provided by the company can go with the vivo X200. The phone runs on the Dimensity 9400 SoC, which is still pretty powerful. For those wondering, the X200 starts at CNY 4,299 in China, which is about Rs. 51,000 in India.
